Hawaii, Day One

We went to Hawaii to visit Joe's family for a week in June. I won't bore you with the trip down, so here is day 1.

Cleveland

Joe and I went to Cleveland this weekend to celebrate the marriage of this happy couple:

They are Ed and Caroline. Ed was one of Joe's roommates at Notre Dame. You can't see it, but Joe was a groomsman. He looked very delicious in his tux. Unfortunately, they picked the same tux as the waiters, which caused some confusion among his friends when he came up in the middle of dinner and gave me a big kiss. It was nice to know that this cast of characters will defend their buddy's right to have me to himself.

And finally, I took about 350 pictures during the wedding. It happens when your sweetie is up at the head table and you don't want anyone to feel socially awkward. Hiding behind a camera is a must.

I love this picture of Carolina after she finished her father/daughter dance.

Ruya the Mighty Huntress

My kitty is a wonderful cat. She loves me dearly and shows her love by bringing me things she has killed for me. The first time she did it, I was wrapping Joe's birthday present. She came up, sat on the wrapping paper, and spit something onto it. It was a very small spider.

Oh by the way...

So I ordered myself a purse and I didn't really read the size on it. I thought it looked cool, I needed to upgrade my wardrobe before some trips with the future in-laws, and it wasn't terribly expensive. But it was close - that is the most I've EVER spent on a purse. So today it arrived and I realized how big it was. Now, obviously, as a cat owner, the first thing that came to my mind was "Can I put my 10 pound cat in this thing?"

See after the break )

A new Love

Last weekend I ran the Pi Mile. Afterwards, there were all these free runner things, like bagels and bananas, and gatorade. There were also these Lara Bars which looked like your standard run of the mill runners icky bars. Well, I just ate the "Cherry Pie". It was delicious. Ingredients: Dates, Almonds, Cherries. It was goodness in a small 1 oz package. It didn't taste like cherry pie, but rather like the really good trail mix you get at Fresh Market except you never get it because, duh, Fresh Market is expensive. I used to work there, I would know.

Since the "Cherry Pie" wasn't enough useless calories for the day, I had the "Apple Pie" as well. Yum! They have chocolatey flavors as well, which I haven't tried yet. But damn, they are good. Now to get Dave hooked on them as well.....

In other news, I could be studying for finals right now. But I'm not.

And since this entry has now become 100% random, here are some photos from the past few weeks.
